Featuring a power play action positioned further forward towards the tip, the rod is designed to sit up effectively in strong flows. This action also benefits semi-self-hooking setups commonly associated with heavier leads and feeders, helping to make it well suited to a range of specialist barbel fishing techniques. With an optimum reel line range of 10lb to 15lb, the Acolyte combines strength with the performance needed for serious river fishing.
- 2¼lb test curve: Provides the power required for big rivers, strong currents and larger barbel.
- Power play action: Positioned higher towards the tip to help the rod sit up in strong flows and accommodate semi-self-hooking setups with heavier leads and feeders.
- Optimum reel line range: Recommended for 10lb to 15lb reel lines, making it suitable for demanding barbel fishing situations.
